ARCO is the evolution of A’RCOPEDICO’s legacy and expertise. In 2016, the company conducted a global study involving over 2,500 footwear consumers across 19 countries and 4 continents, leading to the development of a technology that fits 90% of the world’s feet. Study conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Porto (INEGI).

This research supports ARCO’s mission to provide the best walking experience. The brand is built on exclusive technology with a pending patent application (Nr 119653), which protects the invention from being copied during the review process.

Development of ARCO

The attribution of the world patent, based on the twin arch support system. A’RCOPEDICO echoes the premise of its founder: to develop a sole that better supports the foot arch, as this is the main sustainer of the spine.

The Star Shoes project analyzed feet globally to improve footwear design, in collaboration with the University of Porto’s Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI).

As a result of the Star Shoes project, the Dynamic Boost Formula was created. The concept behind it was to design a structure that connects key points on the shoe requiring stability (such as the heel and arch).

ARCO is a new brand of ergonomic footwear designed for performance, backed by scientific features and approvals. It’s unisex and eco-friendly.
